What does the Pro-fix system on Jané strollers consist of?
PRO-FIX SYSTEM GENERATION is the ergonomic system that allows you to easily attach and remove all Jané carrycots and infant carriers from the chassis or Isofix platform. With a single movement and two attachment points, you can install any component on the chassis without the need for “connectors”.
To install the infant carrier or carrycot on the chassis, simply make a single vertical movement and place it in the slots at the two attachment points; no other adjustment of the chassis is required.
To remove it, pull the two buttons located on the sides, and the infant carrier or carrycot will be detached from the chassis or any Isofix platform in a single motion.
What does Jané's new GO-fix system for strollers consist of?
GO-FIX SYSTEM is Jané's anchor system, which allows you to quickly and easily install and remove the different compatible components of the stroller, such as the carrycot, the hammock; seat unit or the 40-87 cm car seat.
Thanks to its attachment points, the different elements attach directly to the chassis comfortably and securely, making it easy to change the stroller configuration according to your needs at any given time.
What are the differences between the Pro Fix and Go fix systems? Are they compatible?
The Pro fix system is from earlier Jané generations and is not compatible with the new Go fix systems or interchangeable with them.
What are the characteristics of the material used to make Jané strollers?
Jané stroller fabrics are made with special materials that repel water, protect against the wind, are breathable, and are especially resistant to wear and potential stains during use. The hoods feature UPF50+ protection.
Can I travel by plane with my Jané stroller?
Jané strollers fold down to a compact size for easy transport on any flight. You can take your Jané stroller to the boarding gate, where the airline staff will place it in the aircraft's hold with the rest of the luggage. Once the flight is over, they will return it to you as you leave.
If you have any other questions about this, we recommend contacting the airline you will be travelling with directly.
Can I use my Jané carrycot as a travel cot?
Jané carrycots have been designed so that the baby can sleep comfortably. However, we do not recommend using the carrycot as a substitute for the cot. Cots are more spacious and, above all, specifically designed for babies' rest.
If you need to sleep away from home and do not have a cot, the best solution we offer is travel cots, which are lightweight and easy to fold and transport.
Where can I find accessories for my Jané stroller?
Although your pushchair comes equipped as standard with several accessories, at Jané we offer additional accessories compatible with our pushchairs and strollers that will make your life easier. Take a look at all of them at this link.
Do stroller parasols provide sun protection?
Your Jané stroller parasol features fabrics specially designed to provide maximum protection against ultraviolet rays, both UVB and UVA. Its protection rating is 50+, the highest rating a fabric can achieve. UPF 50+.
What is the maximum weight that Jané strollers can support?
According to European Standard EN 1888-2:2018+A1:2023, the maximum authorized weight for Jané pushchairs is 22 kilos, which corresponds approximately to a 6- or 7-year-old child. In addition, all our models have been tested and approved to support an additional 4 kilos of load in the basket.
Tests have been carried out in Jané's internal laboratory, testing some of our pushchairs with 26 kilos, and the results were satisfactory. However, there is not yet any regulation certifying this test.
When should I move my baby from the carrycot to the stroller?
There is no specific rule for starting to use the stroller instead of the carrycot, as each baby has a specific weight and size. In general, we recommend doing so at around 9 kilograms (approximately 9 months).

Safety
How are Jané car seats designed?
All Jané car seats are developed at the JANÉ CRASH TEST RESEARCH CENTER, Spain's only private crash test facility dedicated to child safety research.
Because it is located at our factory in Barcelona, we can use the Crash Test as many times as we deem necessary. Only in this way can we offer you the most thoroughly tested car seats on the market, with Europe's strictest approval standards.
What is the expiration date of car seats?
Each product has a different combination of materials, and no expiration date is specified, as the regulations do not establish expiration criteria.
However, we must bear in mind that materials deteriorate over time and due to weather conditions; therefore, renewing/extending their use is at the user's discretion.
At Jané, we recommend not reusing second-hand products and using and maintaining them as indicated in the instructions.
Is my Jané car seat compatible with my car?
Contact us at hello@groupjane.com so we can check it, please. Tell us your car's model, variant, number of doors, and year of manufacture.
Please remember that the response may take some time, as we prioritize safety above all else and, for this reason, we must make sure by carrying out the appropriate tests before giving you an answer.
I want to consult the instructions manual for my Jané car seat
If you want to download the instruction manual for your Jané car seat or simply consult it, you can do so on its product page on the website or here. If your car seat is not in the current collection or is from previous years, you can request it by emailing hello@groupjane.com
Which car seat should I choose based on my child's weight and height?
The new R129 regulation (known as i-Size) classifies car seats based on the child’s height, whereas the previous regulation (ECE R-44) did so based on the child’s weight. There are no specific groups for classifying car seats; instead, each car seat’s usage range is indicated according to the height, in centimeters, of the baby or child.
What does the i-Size regulation involve?
The new Regulation makes child restraint systems significantly safer than those covered by the R-44 standard, which dates back to the 1990s. The i-Size Regulation aims to improve protection and safety based on 6 key points:
- UNIVERSAL INTEGRAL ISOFIX
The i-Size Regulation requires installation in the car exclusively using Isofix anchor points + an anti-rotation system (top tether or support leg).
- CLASSIFICATION BY HEIGHT
i-Size replaces the previous classification of car seats by weight groups with a new, easier-to-understand classification: by height in cm.
- CAR SEAT AND VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY
The i-Size Regulation was developed jointly with car manufacturers to guarantee full compatibility between car seats and vehicles.
- REAR-FACING AT LEAST UNTIL 15 MONTHS
Under the i-Size Regulation, forward-facing car seats are only permitted from 15 months of age. However, the recommendation is to extend the age at which the baby travels rear-facing for as long as possible.
- SIDE IMPACT
The new i-Size Regulation adds side impact to the front and rear crash tests.
- Q-SERIES DUMMIES, NEW CRITERIA
The new dummies (Q Series) are designed according to the dimensions of today's population, using materials that better reproduce human behavior, and are also equipped with new sensors that detect forces in the most sensitive parts of the human body.
Can I use a second-hand car seat?
A friend or family member may lend you a car seat for your vehicle, or you may purchase a second-hand car seat. In this case, our response is unequivocal: we do not recommend using second-hand car seats.
If we use a child restraint system that has already been used, we do not know how it was used, what stresses it may have been subjected to, or whether it has been involved in an impact. The car seat may have internal damage that cannot be detected at a glance.
For this reason, and always prioritising safety, we advise against this practice.
What should I do with my Jané car seat after being involved in an accident?
According to the European Regulation ECE R129: "it is recommended to replace the car seat with a new one when it has been subjected to violent forces after an accident".
You can join the Renew Plan: if you meet the requirements, we will send you a new car seat. (It may be the same or a similar model, depending on current stock needs). You can write to us at hello@groupjane.com to inquire about the terms and conditions.
